The God In Man, the first novel in the Of Life and Brotherhood Trilogy, tells the story of Dieter, who at a young age finds himself the last remaining member of his family as he returns home to find them being murdered. Almost brought to death by their killers, he is saved by three men who belong to a centuries old brotherhood of warriors. Having no blood relatives left to care for him, Dieter sets off with his three new companions to hunt down those responsible not only for his family's murder, but the slaughter of countless others over hundreds of years. Journeying towards their fate uncertain of survival, the three men teach Dieter the true ways and nature of life and brotherhood.

I've read many novels throughout my life all different genres and after reading this one, I must say, it is quite unique.It's a compelling story about a journey of four warriors seeking out retribution and justice--with one young boy in particular you eventually see bloom into a warrior.
Packed with descriptive scenic visuals and well-drawn characters, the novelists choice of words (evoking almost poetically describing sights, sounds, textures, scents) seem to take you to these surreal places. As you read on it's as if you are traveling right along with these warriors. It is a novel many people can relate to consisting of action, love, humor, and wisdom.
The wonderful thing about this novel is you'll notice how one of the characters, Dieter, grows (spiritually, physically, mentally) into this warrior through the other characters he meets while journeying ...and you yourself will start to grow as well.
The writing within the novel sends out many positive messages and the reader can even start applying concepts within the novel and into their own life.
Give it a go... you too can grow to be a warrior.

Well written and captivating story, including a bit of everything from brotherhood, romance, humour and violence. I loved seeing the characters develop throughout the book. Awaiting the next one!
I would thoroughly recommend reading ‘The God in Man’, I found it to be both thought provoking and at times quite profound, balanced with moments of humour and plenty of action. The story takes you on a journey with four very distinct and likeable characters, with the author weaving philosophical and poetic ideology delicately throughout. The language is vivid, the narrative fast paced, and the tale gripping.
A powerful and moving novel, I look forward to the next instalment!
